Plans are being finalized for our annual gathering in historic Old Tippecanoe, Tipp City, Ohio. This quaint town was founded in the 1840's, this small town retains much of its original character and charm, providing visitors with an array of activities from antique shopping to art galleries… a splendid location for our retreat! We invite you to join us in a creative journey celebrating Folk-Art and fellowship.

This year our workshop expands to become a three day event. The pre-workshop on April 25th will explore the topic of color through a series of guided hands-on activities. During the The Main Event, April 26-28th, each of you will create an embellished wool cloth during our time together - learning and practicing many techniques. This small workable piece begins with basic wool appliqué and a selection of our favorite animal motifs and simple shapes. You will have the opportunity to see our embellished pieces incorporated into a variety of distinctive finished projects. Participant numbers are limited so register early!

We are again offering a selection of handcrafted commemorative Workt By Hand items. Please note that all items must be preordered and will be delivered at the retreat.

Bracelet Pincushion Kits

Bracelet Pincushion Kits are now available for this charming and very functional pincushion bracelet. No more searching for or losing your pins while hand sewing or removing pins while stitching with the machine.
The fabric covered bracelet self-adjusts to your wrist size & features a small handmade felt ball. Each kit includes a picture of the completed project and detailed written instructions.
A fabric covered bracelet & felt ball along with an embellishment packet & special thread are also provided. Colors and embellishment packets vary.

Button kits are available for Jan Patek 's Spencer Museum Quilt. Each kit contains 36 handmade buttons – one dozen each of 3 different colors.

Kits are also available for Jan's project – Flags of the American Revolution.

Each kit contains 39 buttons – 26 small stars in the color Milkweed and 13 larger stars in the color Old Flag Blue!
The buttons were designed specifically to compliment and complete the '76, Betsy Ross, & Guillford Courthouse blocks in Jan's quilt.
